Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

David holds a first class BSc honours degree in physiotherapy in addition to a BSc honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science, both gained from Northumbria University. Since graduating David has developed his knowledge and skills working in the NHS, private practice and the sporting environment. He has worked in a variety of specialties including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, sports injuries, neurological and respiratory medicine. In addition David has studied extensively at postgraduate level with his specific skills including joint mobilisation and manipulation, specific soft tissue mobilisation, sports taping, progressive exercise therapy and acupuncture.

David worked as a part-time physiotherapist for Newcastle United F.C Academy from 2008, before subsequently becoming full time Academy Physiotherapist in 2013 for a period of 18 months whereby he looked after the regions up and coming footballers. His role involved the provision of clinic based manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation alongside match day and tournament based physiotherapy support for U9-18’s age groups.

David completed an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at The University of Bath in 2019, where he further advanced his physiotherapy knowledge and skills in order to apply to his future practice. As with all our physiotherapists, David is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
